Are you starting it every day and letting it get hot or does the truck sit a lot? I would not want to mess with owning a truck that rodents have been in. They chew wiring, make nests of insulation, and piss everywhere.

Mice will adapt to sounds, lights and smells, they are all temporary deterrents.

The only way to stop mice is to eradicate them. Traps and enclosed poison boxes (so pets and other animals don't eat it).

When I had a mouse problem, I would go through the mouse poison outdoor blocks quickly. They were going through a few a week. I still use them, and it is multiple months before it gets eaten now, it decimated the mouse population on my property.

In my garage I used glue traps with peanut butter. I checked them every morning and if I had caught any they'd go in a bucket of water (quicker death than being stuck on a board for days).

I installed a ultrasonic device. A Toyota mechanic told me, glucose is used in the cab/engine grommet so they love to eat those. I live in rural Texas, so mice are around but, not in my engine bay or truck.

Giving this a shot. Gets good reviews. Hopeful it will be effective. Series of strobe lights and ultrasonic sounds. Very minimal battery draw. Attached with heavy duty velcro.
