2010 5.7 4x4 when accelerating from a stop there is a little whistle coming from what sounds like the passenger side of the engine. Goes away at higher rpm and higher speed. Anyone have an idea where it could be coming from?

    Did you buy it new?
I'd check the air box and see if there is an aftermarket filter in it, or see if someone took off the OEM screen in the air box lid...

    Good luck.

Maybe someone put one of those throttle body spacer doodads on there. They make a whistling sound. Mine whistles a bit under load but I have the SABM mod (2nd hole in the airbox), a higher flow air filter, and a blower sucking more air in.

so I take it it shouldn’t be something I should be worried about?

Do the throttle body screen delete. I bought the new screen less gasket since it was $5. Took 5 minutes of work and the whistle vanished for me

I appreciate the tip, but I don’t think mine is related to that since I don’t have that screen anymore having had installed the supercharger. I think in my case, it’s just the increase of air flow and speed. Could be OPs solution though?

I thought there was a thread on this but I'm not finding one searching. I know inread some info about the screen delete on this thread:
    https://www.tundras.com/threads/throttle-body-coolant-bypass.55350/#post-1449073

My 2 cents, clean your throttle body while you have it all apart. Much easier then cleaning it while its installed  I did it the hard way and then the easy way when I had it loose. I didn't disconnect the lines from the throttle body.

OReilly's is close to me but you should be able to find an equivalent gasket at any auto store or be able to order thru them.

    Pretty things
My truck had a K&N filter when purchased and would whistle. Replaced the fancy, purple filter with a standard paper filter and have not had to listen to the whistle any further.

    I left the screen intact.

I’ll check the filter too. Thanks!

Either of those should be just fine.

Seems to be a high flow filter thing.

I didn't notice a difference in power between the two filter elements. And better filtration (more restriction) will help with engine longevity... Also no whistling on throttle.

....Also Also. "That's only in the morning. Should be up cooking breakfast or something"

no throttle body spacer. I bought the throttle body o ring without the mesh and replaced it and it seemed to help. No whistle now.
