    Hey folks. Purchased a 2000 SR5 with the 4.7 in early April 2024. 139k miles, 4spd auto.

Frame was in terrible shape, but got the recall done. Brand new frame, lower control arms, shocks...the works. Worst spot of rust is on the bed crossbeams and the rear bumper supports, but easy enough to remove and fabricate together some new parts. My sister named her "Penny" because the color of rust and the color of a penny are pretty similar. (so original :D)

    As for me...

My name is Keagan - I'm a 21 year old male living in Wisconsin. Currently building a 1975 Camaro on the side too - so I'd like to think I know my way around a vehicle a bit more than the average Joe. I'll be tossing a 5.3 LS and T56 in that. I also own a computer repair company and work as a freelance photographer/videographer as well as the odd side job. During the day I work at a local high school in the fine arts department. I'll do anything and everything from building sets to designing sound or lights to administrative tasks and accounting.

    Current project on the truck:

    Diagnosing a crank-no-start.

Not necessarily looking for solutions in this post (though I would gladly take advice). Brand new battery, spark is good. It's started twice - once when I had a plug and coil out to test spark and once when I had an injector wire unplugged to test for pulse. Ran and drove for 10 miles after the latter diagnostic test and won't start back up.

Replaced crank sensor, no change. I have a new Wix fuel filter and new Denso coils and plugs I'll toss in soon, but I will be leafing through the EWG provided by RainMan at https://tundras.com/threads/ultimate-tundra-wiring-diagrams-collection.81448/ to look for other parts to probe.

My current goal with this truck is to make it a reliable daily driver. The main thing right now is fixing the rust spots (there's a lot, thankfully mostly cosmetic at this point).

Looking forward to putting in the work and keeping this truck for a long time to come.:hattip:

    Absolutely; here she is:

This picture is from late May 2024 - I've made a little progress since then (admittedly not as much as I would've hoped). My neighbor owns a towing business and lets me keep the car inside there and work on it any time I want. Pretty sweet opportunity; I'm very fortunate. All I should really need now is a bit of fabrication work, an input shaft for the T56, and a clutch kit! Hoping to have her on the road by next summer.

    That's not a 1975 Camaro. :monocle:
Nice project, looks like a 1979/1980 Camaro Berlinetta.

    Good eye, you're correct.

The body's a 1980 Berlinetta...found that out later. Went into it not knowing much about the cars, it's titled as a 1975.

Wonder if they added the newer nose. If you PM me the VIN# I'll tell you what it was.
Are the tail lights just on the corners or do they go all the was across?

It was a grey coupe. Front nose and tail match the 80 Berlinetta too.
