It's now time to replace the factory tires. Currently I have the 285 55 r20 Goodyears and I'm looking at the Bridgestone Ko3 but they only come in 295 55 r20. Would this be a problem going up in size?

I really can't see how it would cause a problem. In a perfect world the new tire would be 10 mm wider and 5.5 mm taller.
Over the years my experience is that tire size numbers are not exact. My travel trailer tires are Goodyear 215s but my Chinese spare is 205 and they are as far as I can measure they are both the same size. I bought a Carlisle 205 for a spare and it's noticable smaller than the Goodyear.
With a little digging the actual circumference of most tires are available on the web. You can find out the exact measured size of both the tire you have and the one you want.

Looks like your old tire is a standard load at 46lbs and this new tire is an E load at 66lbs but not gaining much in tire size. I would stick to stock tire size and standard load unless you’re trying to do something specific. Those tries are crazy expensive and your mpg/handling will go down significantly. For offroading youd want to change your rim size anyways.

I had 16 tundra that came with the ko2 and when I traded it in for the 19 it came with the Goodyear all terrain tires and I don't like them as much as the ko2. I pull a 33ft camper alot so having bigger tires maybe a plus too. Before going back to ko2 I would be interested in the ko3.
