Who has an Ottocast and how you like it? Seamless? Connects well? Any other input? Remote? Sounds like maybe better / faster than Magic Box? Maybe not significant…

Any input welcomed, thanks for the Hepp!

I just installed the Ottocast P3 unit last week. I have no experience with these types of devices, so I bought it just to test it out and see what it can do. The Ottocast P3 is advertised as "seamless integration", so I assumed I could easily switch back and forth between Apple Carplay and Ottocast. But when I try to add the Ottocast, you are forced to disconnect Apple CarPlay, and vice versa. When the Ottocast is connected, it was a little laggy and buggy for me. Maybe this was due to my connection through my iPhone Hotspot. For these reasons, I'm leaning towards returning it at this point - was not as seamless as I expected.

Maybe I bought the wrong type of unit. All I'm looking for is to play apps like Netflix and Xfinity on my screen when parked. Is there a wired or wireless device that can simply mirror the iPhone screen onto the Tundra screen? I'm not interested in any CarPlay integration. I don't mind using the iPhone to open and run the apps. Also, since I wouldn't be using it that often, I'd like to avoid having to pay for an additional Sim Card or Hotspot data.

    Does anyone have any recommendations?

    Thanks!
