What is this little lock box mounted above my parking break? Small led light illuminates when the key is turned on.

Some sort of aftermarket kill switch thingie?? I guess you didn't some weird small key with the truck when you bought it??

Fobroader, you are correct!! I went out and tried starting the truck when the little led light was on, and low and behold....nothing...
