Just happened for the second time. Pop open the sunglasses storage door and a black screw falls out into the cup holder.
Where the heck is it coming from? I felt around up there and took a quick look and didn't see any vacant screw holes. Pulled on the door and it feels just as firmly attached.
So where might these screws be coming from?
The first fell out last year. The other couple days ago. Never heard anything rattling around up there before it fell.

I find this sort of funny since my new Civic came with two extra trim push type fasteners in the trunk. I figured the car in front of mine on the assembly line is missing those somewhere on his car.

Happened on my 2019 Tundra. I had to get a light and contort around to see it, but it did fall out of a hole inside the glasses holder.

Look closer. I had this happen a while back and had to get a weird angle, but it did indeed unthread from a hole in the sunglasses holder.
Now, where is the screw now? That is a mystery no mortal man can solve.
