I’m looking to mount a full-size 37” spare in the bed of my truck. I want the tire to lay flat. I do not want a standing style mount or chase rack. I also don’t want to drill more holes, I want to utilize factory bed mounting bolt locations.

I’ve found a few examples but they’re for Ford trucks. I’ve been scouring the web trying to find someone producing something like this for Tundras and am coming up empty. Has anyone seen anything like this for the 3rd gen Tundra’s? My next move will be to see if a local offroad fab shop can just make one for me. It’s a pretty simple design.

Basically, you have individual D rings on two bolt location. Then between the two other bolt locations there’s an arched piece of either tube or flat steel. In the center of the arched piece there’s a tab for the tie down. Then you use a three way tie down strap to secure the wheel/tire.

To clarify why I want a flat mounted spare, it’s so I can cover it with a tonneau cover.

**not Toyotas pictured, just examples of what I mean **
