Why are there so many non 3rd Gen Tundra owners in the 3rd Gen sections?....

It’s not that way on the Porsche, Ferrari and to a lessor degree, Corvette forum. I thought it was a truck thing

I read almost every sub-forum in here including the 3rd gen. I am assuming most do the same. To say that there is a majority of us trashing the 3rd gen is wholly inaccurate. I have expressed concerns with the 3rd gen but would hardly consider them inflammatory or even inaccurate. I have also praised Toyotas response to the issues. We lurk and comment because most of will consider the third gen when our trucks are ready to retire…..is that bad? I think this back and forth between the 3rd gen’s and non 3rd gen’s is just petty. People are allowed to have opinions after all……if you don’t agree move on

Yea this is my favorite cause there was so much hate from 3rd gen Tacoma owners when the truck was the current gen. Now that the 4th gen is out the 3rd gen and its constant downshifting, poor gas mileage, crappy seating position, underpowered motor, and all the other problems everyone complained about for years don’t seem to exist anymore.

    The Dirty T ( ^_^)_且

It's the Ford door chime. Most people don't know it, but in fact it was created from an ancient text found in Egypt that is a call to summon a demon. It has since been proven to drive 90% of Ford owners crazy, many require admittance to a mental institution after prolonged exposure.

Don't bring facts into this. If they want to feed their confirmation bias that there's never going to be anything wrong and their purchase makes them better than the rest of us, you aren't going to convince them otherwise.

Now, am I talking about 'vette, charger, Porsche, Ferrari, etc. drivers or 3rd gen drivers? :monocle:

Outside observer here. I'm talking about everyone actually. Confirmation bias is a helluva drug, and even when you know it's there it's hard to get around it. Nobody wants to think they spent money unwisely, so anything they bought must be the best choice. Everyone else is wrong.

    cool, I thought so , I joined in 2000

kinda funny , my join date over there is before what they list the site start date of the site as. The crashes in the early days are forgotten, Lon started that in 1999 or 2000 though , I joined April 2000, had two gen 1s

I had the trd luxury sport package installed by classic soft trim , loved that truck
