Touchscreen or whole control head. Random channel change. Flashing and beeping randomly. Channels flash like you’re programming a preset when you’re not touching anything. Similar issue? Way to determine problem(easily)?? Help!! 17 tundra SR5

Are you having any other electrical issues? If not, gonna go out on a limb and say your head unit is fried/in need of some sort of electronics repair. If so, probably easier to just replace it with another OEM or aftermarket head unit rather than paying someone to diagnose and/or fix it. No easy way to diagnose an issue like that without pulling the stereo, disassembling, and looking over the internals.

‘17 SR5… same. Occasionally on startup it just goes wonky. For me, hitting the APPS button seems to stop it. I’m looking at replacing the head unit anyway. For the record non-JBL.

The stock hu either nor non jbl suck and eventually flake out. Gonna need to go aftermarket. Your budget determines the quality perse. I’m a diehard Kenwood hu but there are many options. It sucks such an amazing truck has sound system issues like these do. I have never had an issue like this with gmc, Chevy, ford or dodge but non of these have ever been as dependable or durable as my tundra. I’ll take sucky stick hu over major issues any day.

Headunits going out. They are notorious for having failed internal components that lead to these things happening.
