That's what my buddy did with his diagnosis. Had to keep spirits up, but it has been hard on him.

Thanks, I'm trying to for sure. I'd say at least 20% of the things he taught me have been indispensable. The other 80% he didn't know he was teaching me because it was recognizing to not do what he did.

There is a Paul Harvey rest of the story, no condolences necessary please but I will explain how crazy it is. Dad was a piece of work. Moved here in 2012 after his 2nd divorce. I got mom (marriage#1) moved here in 07. Mom hates dad, really, really despises him to the point of shit talking him to the grandkids all the time. Dad asks us to not tell mom he lives here. So we don't. Fast forward to the end of 2023, we are closing the dad estate. I go on a vacation this Spring '24 and mom dies in her condo.

Last summer at this time I'm fixing up my dad's house here in Fort Collins. This summer, today, I'm getting close to finishing up/reconditioning my crazy mother's condo. I've been working on it for several months. I'm getting close to being free. Then it will all be rainbows and unicorns again here in Fort Fun. Unless my truck tanks, but that is not a big deal as long as no one else dies.

I need to change my tag line, it's probably weird now and not just a cheesy movie quote. And now you know the rest of the story, mostly.

Also, it's not irregardless (even if some dictionaries are now listing it and accommodating your dumb ass ); it's regardless; think about it... irregardless would actually be a double negative based on the definition of regardless and wouldn't fit the context of 99% of its usage
