There are a lot of great tires and tire and rim combos posted out here. None that I don't like!..My dilemma is that I don't want and don't need E rated tires. Has those on my old 3/4 trucks when I towed and hauled a lot. Trying to preserve the ride and some fuel mileage.

I want to keep stock rims and increase tire size a little, if possible, but not with E rated tires if I can help it. The standard tires are ok, i guess, but I do head out on some rough back roads and could use a C/D tire, IMO.

Anyone know of C/D rated tires that would fit the standard 18 inch rim on a 2022 TRD off road?

My 2000 F150 came with D rate goodyears, but i couldn't find any aftermarket D's at that time and went with E's, as i towed...tried C rated tires and that thing squirmed all over the road!

Thanks for your help! I have looked but don't see much to choose from.

295/70-18 Nitto Recon Grapplers come in SL/116s load range and are 34.3" in diameter (fit perfectly on TRD Pro with felt liner pinned) and weigh 52.5 lbs each vs 64 lbs for the same tire in "E" rated.

Feel great, ride similar to stock, much better than stock in wet and offroad performance and are about the perfect size. Took about a 1-2 mpg hit and speedo is not 2-3 mph off but that is the way it goes.

I couldn't find any other options that fit my needs when looking. Was NOT interested in "E" rated tires either based on previous experience.

I have Falkens WildPeaks A/T3W 265/70/R18 they are SL rated. No need to go bigger and add weight (only weigh 47 lbs each which is 6 lbs more than the stock garbage that came with the truck) and mess up speedometer calibration. They have been great tires so far. Ride nice and fairly quiet for an AT tire. I think the new A/T4W's are out now and have a SL rated version.

I did a lot of research and went through many threads before deciding on these tires. I think they are the best option if you don't need or want an E rated tire. Good luck on whatever you choose.

yup, most people don’t realize how light the oem tires are at 38 lbs, you have to really watch the weight on what your adding

my AT3 we’re only 44 lbs, that’s still 6-7 over stock but the stock tires aren’t realistic , total crap so some extra is a must. Some of these load e these dudes are putting on are high 50s or even over 60 lbs a corner, that’s nuts

I am going to take a hard look at this. Already printed the tire size and spec chart. Thanks for the reply!

I went with General Grabber ATX in standard load 275/70/18. I'm pretty sure they're 44 lbs each.

Here are some additional photos. This is stock suspension, no lifts and there is about a 2 inch rake to the truck. Front at 36.75 inches and rear at 38.75 inches.
