No. The only one marked that way is on dash board. I thought it might be behind the Radio unit. I have the same thing with my Ford.

The USB2 only shows up on mine when I hit the "reorder" prompt. Maybe look in this section for a picture of the backside of the HU. Maybe there is another connection back there.

Are you using a hub? This is from page 122 of the Navigation and System Owners Manual.

If a USB hub is plugged-in, two
devices can be connected at a
    time.
●Even if a USB hub is used to connect
    more than two USB devices,
    only the first two connected
    devices will be recognized.
●If a USB hub that has more than
two ports is connected to the USB
    port, devices connected to the
USB hub may not charge or be
inoperable, as the supply of current
    may be insufficient

I haven't tried it but I'm going to.

Do you have an android phone plugged in? One with an external memory card? I know in the past I’ve seen (not on a Toyota head unit) the external memory card on an android device show as a second device in the head unit.

otherwise my bet is that it is related to what @MT Madman posted from the user manual

Anyone ever figure this out? I just jumped into a 21 tundra and have the same question. Was really hoping to have my usb and phone plugged in at the same time even if I can't use them simultaneously. Better than removing my tiny usb stick which I'll inevitably lose.

I know Tundra234 already stated this, but since I just replaced my 2021 head unit and it's sitting on my table I can confirm that there are no additional empty usb ports on the back of the head unit. If memory serves me correct from installing, I believe USB data enters via the grey circled female slot.

    upload_2024-7-23_15-39-3.png

I have a 2021 SR5 and in my center console area there is one spot labeled as USB data, and 2 labeled as USB power in addition to the cigarette lighter outlet. Inside and at the rear area of the center console there are additional cigarette lighter slots.

If you're using a hub, I suspect what MT Madman posted is your answer. If you've got an android phone with external memory RainMan_PNW is probably correct.

If you're not using a hub or have an android phone, it might be worth trying a cheap USB splitter to see if you can leave both connected to the USB data slot and choose between them on the head unit. Something like this: Amazon.com: Plugable 2-in-1 USB Splitter with Dual USB 2.0 Ports, Compatible with Windows, Linux, macOS, Chrome OS, USB Multiport Hub for Laptops : Electronics or any other USB splitter that does data and not just power would maybe work?

I wasn't able to find a vehicle specific 2 to 1 USB data splitter, only those made for power, but if that worked, you could then theoretically buy this: Beüler USBD-Kit Dual 3' USB cable extensions with dash mounts for a variety of vehicles at Crutchfield

and then plug the two USB cords from the Beuler (Buehler...Beuhler...Beuhler) into the splitter, and then splitter into your factory usb, and zip tie and tuck that mess of wires behind the center console. I have no clue if that would work, but from what MT Madman posted it seems like USB hubs do indeed work, so in theory it would and would only cost ~$40.

Thanks for the info Snert, much appreciated!

I borrowed a USB hub from a buddy to give it a try and it ultimately works. I plugged my flash drive into one port and it plays, but as soon as you plug in your phone the android auto takes over. At that point it doesn't even recognize your flash drive is plugged in. Not ideal, but for my purposes it will suffice. I won't have to switch plugs constantly. Once you unplug your phone then it will recognize your flash drive again and play.

Keep in mind I used a USB hub, not a USB splitter. I don't believe it'll work with a splitter and most splitters specifically say they don't support Android auto. Hubs don't specifically say they do, but they tend to have more brains behind them to allow usage of more sophisticated devices. I'll order a cheap hub from Amazon, recheck it, then post whether or not it worked and provide the link.

Nice that’s promising! The splitter I posted I had to search a little bit for, but it claims to be a hub and have the ability to turn one usb slot into 2 via an internal chip. No clue if it would actually work as like you said hubs are usually more robust in appearance.

Might be worth a shot for $14 bucks. I didn't look at it close enough and already ordered a different one.

In either case, I’m glad you were able to test it. Having a more robust hub might actually be nicer as you could probably use some velcro or something to mount it semi-permanently beneath the other usb/power slots.

Ha and actually I just reread the listing and it says it “will not work with car audio systems as they don’t support usb hubs”. Guessing most car audio systems don’t but newer Tundras must (believe they redid some stuff in 20 and 21 in regards to entune).

Alright, so this is the one I got and it works exactly as I described earlier:

Acer USB Hub, 4 Ports Multiple USB 3.0 Hub: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CPSSD43L

Paid a smidge more for it because I wanted the shorter cable, but it was like $13 so not bad. It's pretty small and I just mounted it with 3M adhesive. We'll see how well out holds up.

Nice looks slick and hardly noticeable tucked under the other slots!
