Hi everyone new member here I recently replaced the transmission in my 2008 tundra, and after the replacement, the truck will only crank and will not start I keep getting a code P0338 crankshaft position high output So at first, I thought that it was just a bad sensor while I wasn’t that lucky replace the sensor still same thing same code the fuel pump is not engaging. I’ve tried spraying a little bit of starter fluid in the intake and that’s the only way I’ve been able to get the engine to fire at all. I have a few lights on on the dash traction control, VSC off, automatic transmission oil temperature, check engine and the 4lo light flashing I’m guessing I just need new actuators possibly on the trans case and front axle but I don’t believe that’s what’s causing my no start condition. It almost seems like there’s a wire cross. I’ve checked all my connections on the transmission and everything‘s plugged in the way that it should, but I’m still getting the high output out of the crankshaft sensor so I’m assuming with the crankshaft position sensor messed up that’s causing The engine to crank and not run I’m just not sure if that explains the fuel pump not commanding on any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Crank sensor and fuel pump operation related to each other. No crank sensor, no signal to fuel pump. Some vehicles require a relearn procedure for the crank sensor. Not sure if our trucks do. Any rpms while cranking? Maybe double check wiring harness.

Thanks for the reply I just checked it out tonight and started with checking the harness and back probing the connector ended up finding the white wire on the crank position sensor pigtail had pulled out of the connector thankfully I found it.
