How do I fix my sagging passenger side grab handle? It no longer retracts back to the stowed position. Used to call this the oh shit handle, but no search has come up with an answer for me, no matter what i'm calling it.

I've found dozens of forum and reddit threads on the driver side grab handle addition. But nothing for the Passenger side.

Can you pop those covers off? I think there are springs on the hinges.

So I went out and took the handle apart. Appears there is a sealed cylinder/spring apparatus that has "sprung". Still searching for a replacement part, no joy. I can't even find a replacement handle online. Wonder if a trip to a junkyard would be warranted? Any ideas out there?

I did find a part number GN641-05270 that does return to a Camary or Sienna "assist grip". But the few listings I've found on ebay are "sold out" and the dealership said the part number didn't return to anything in their parts lookup.

Yeah... my first attempt to pull the cap off with a small flat head screw driver was a struggle. I then went and got a wider flathead. I know I boogered it up, but it really does look worse in the pic than it does when I put it back together.

You'll definitely find that at a junkyard/part out

Did you ever figure out the part number for this? I need to replace that clip (it broke as I was removing the headliner to remove something). The dealer gave me a part number, but when I double check it, it comes back as the windshield pillar grab handle, which I don't need.

The part number I'm being given is 74610-0C082-B0

    thank you in advance.

This could be it? Seems like the spring-loaded handle was pretty common across multiple models for Toyota. Maybe try this 74610-06071-A1, or the 74611C/74612C for just the clips. Not sure what color your interior is, but I believe the -A1 denotes the beige color. If yours is grey it might be -B0.

This was very helpful. I really only needed the clip but the dealer kept trying to sell me the (wrong) item. Thank you!
