Parking assist beeper

Hey Tundra fans,
I drive a basic 2007 Tundra 4 door 2wd auto. It does NOT have the fancy electronics, it is a base truck. No big screen, no XM, no nav., no radar button. only has the little round reset for the parking alarm.
My question is this......Is there a way to shut the parking assist beeper off? I sit in traffic at a light in the straight lane when a car pulls up to my left side in the turn lane and the dang beeper goes off. IRRITATING! Sometimes there's NOTHING around me at all and the dang thing starts beeping. Can I shut the thing off? I'd hate to cut the wires to it. Any real help here????? Thanks

 

You want to push the sonar button to turn off the parking sensors



sometimes when it rains and there is water on the sensors they will beep for no reason.

 

Thanks BUT I only have 1 button which is the US/M button. No SONAR button. I tried to reply with a picture but it won't allow me to. My truck has a small round push button to pause the beeper.

 

Oh man! Sorry I didn’t have an easy answer for you. I thought the 2007 would be same as 2012. I have sr5 base. Didn’t know if there was a lower base model? Either way I hope some one can help you out. Good luck
