Should I replace the filter? Anytime I ask about getting that done while getting the fluid change, they always told me that it’s not meant to be changed since it’s just a screen and supposing to the last the life of the transmission and blah blah. Never have the chance to do that part.

    Some do. I wouldn't.

Corrosion is not too much of a thing round these parts, but I still know I'd break a couple pan bolts attempting the filter swap.

My plan is to keep up with the drain and fills, maybe every year (~15K) at this point.

Confession: you guys already know. I really do have a drain and fill addiction. Swear my truck feels better after having 4 done. I’m already thinking about getting one next year.

I do a drain and fill on my truck myself once a year. Did it on my 2003 Tacoma and now my 2008 Tundra.
