many dealers will use their excess inventory as rentals to recoup money until they sell. Check to see if your dealer has a rental department and then see if they are renting the same units……the one I shop at sells each one after a year of rentals at a steep discount

But I will say pulling a Larry to come down here and pick up some white knuckle off-road sliders, and a custom fab bumper with a winch on it was worth the drive. Now I got to head home because I've been here all of 20 minutes and I'm ready to go.

 

If it does not have a manufacturer warranty then pass. My buddy in the business (dealer) tells me TTs reduce in value by 90% in 5 years with year 1 being the greatest amount - at least 30%. If it is two years old then that is why it is 50% off. If it does not have the original manufacturer warranty then something bad happened and it must be treated as used.

If he doesn't feel good about it, don't buy it.
The trailer may be fine, but why take the risk of having the wife say 'I told you so' every time they use the trailer..
I'd pay a little more to make sure that doesn't happen.
