I think that gives you access to the 'nut' which is under the pan that holds the drain in place in case you need to get a wrench in their to remove the drain; for most of the plumbing and they just cut open the 'belly' of the trailer and access from underneath...

Usually tub and shower drains get threaded in from the top, underneath is a female fitting, so you shouldn’t really need access underneath unless something broke

That's awesome, Tyler. Subsistence living would be great, wouldn't it?

There are a few different places selling battery adapters too… I’ve been eyeballing the Ryobi handheld pressure washer and getting an adapter to run it with the Milwaukee batteries

I rarely use string… I’m only looking at getting one for detail work, though I just discovered “reciprocating cutter” attachments and might go that route.

For actual brush cutting, including blackberries, I’ve got a couple different heads. The Milwaukee came with a four tooth blade that does decent:
    upload_2024-7-21_9-13-25.jpg

I have a polycut trimmer head on the Stihl most of the time - been using that design since I was old enough to handle a brush cutter. The blades aren’t as robust as I remember as a kid, but for grass and less dense green brush they do well.
    upload_2024-7-21_9-16-13.jpg

when I need to put on armor and foray into the brambles of a dense blackberry thicket, I turn to this thing. I can’t find the brand on it, but I’m fairly certain it’s made locally here in SW WA somewhere. This thing will fuck up anything it hits. The blade is tri-lobed so it builds the momentum like you get from the star shaped blades and has carbide teeth so it cuts into pretty much anything. And the three turned down set off teeth serve to chop up shit under the blade as well… you can use a stabbing and plunging action to really push deep into the nasty blackberry piles. After 18 years of hard use (never sharpened it since I bought it), I’m just now thinking about replacing this one. But don’t use this for detail work…it’ll tear apart a hog wire fence or anything else it touches

    IMG_2038.jpg
I’ve also tried the chainsaw style blades over the years but they dulled too easy and only really worked for cutting into standing trees. This blade will do that but also work for standing grass (not as good as a poly-cut or star blade though).

I was getting ready to run to the store 30 min ago and couldn't find my wallet. I looked all over the house, garage, truck, and then over every square foot that I cut grass yesterday. A lot of which is ditches and road frontage, and all of it is rough and bouncy.
was looking for a while. assumed it fell out of my left cargo pocket (which has never happened before an where it always is) along the road and someone picked it up.
that would've put a huge damper on everything. Aboi to do a road trip 1200 mi south, buy a trailer, etc.
I took my pants off in the garage after working yesterday because they were covered in debris that I don't want to track in the house. I threw them over a tool bin and my wallet fell out and down between a garbage can and the tool bin (an I looked there, twice already)
moral of the story is, this is why I have little habits, routines and try to plan things. I always put my stuff in the same pockets and always keep them in the same places in the house. so I don't go through shit like this. I almost had a nervous breakdown, thinking about losing my ID, bank card, etc, right now, of all times.
see, one little thing out of the ordinary, like take my pants off in the garage, and it's pandemonium.
so, don't take your pants off in the garage, kids.

Yep, that is access to the drain, which in mine is the same as home plumbing stuff. One trip I noticed a small drip when my wife was using the shower and I was sitting outside. Opened that panel and tightened it about 1/4 turn, no more drip.

We kept bass. Normally myself and many others don't like to keep bass just because it's more fun to let them get bigger but this particular lake they actually want you to keep the smaller ones so we kept a handful of small ones. It's seriously good seasoning I don't know anybody that wouldn't like it.

I had Chilean sea bass once, a long time ago. It was probably more how it was prepared (supposedly a nice restaurant) than the fish itself, but it seemed a little rubbery. didn't like it at all.
caught a bunch of trout in one of the finger lakes 30+ yrs ago while staying at a customer's lake house and I remember that being quite good.
can't remember if we did it on the grill or pan fried. I wanna go with pan fried. but it was good.
gotta cook fish simple. restaurants always fuk it up, trying to be fancy.

so, I have a concern about the trailer.
the sales guy said they are selling a leftover 'new' 2022 and 3 leftover 'new' 2023s because they are overstock. He said they ordered extra because of a hurricane in Fla, expecting them to sell more because of losses, but they never sold. now they're basically half price.
my concern is that the one I'm looking at has the shower compartment door missing (to dry out?) and the mattress is missing.
I'm wondering what the odds are that these trailers got wet and the dealer picked them up at an auction for pennies on the dollar.

Ah, a fellow skeptic who sees the kind of scummy things that are all too common in the vehicle/RV dealer world.

I don't have trust issues! People have issues being trustworthy!
