    I went up to a 35” 12.5 r18. No lift no rub.

kumho at52. Great bang for the buck, and very nice tire. They are underrated. I would compare them to Toyo for sure. Quiet, great in all weather, and $1300 installed. Pics don’t do it justice!

Have a bumper and lights being installed. And she looks bad a$$!! Also have viair compressor bad tank under left rear passenger floor for when I get loaded down. Have an extra bumper $1800! Will meet half way will to travel up to 250 miles from Sioux Falls, SD.

I am putting my new front seat spacer design back on the shelf for a while. Haven't had any luck getting the dimensions I need to complete my prototypes. For now just continue to pay double my planned price for the "jackers" and I will focus on another project.

Is your flag going the wrong way or am I trippin? I mean I can understand if you are saying the country is going in the wrong direction.

Second oil and filter change today at 5601 miles. (First was a few ticks over 1K)

First one was pre-recall notice, so I wasn't looking at anything too closely.
    Dump, change, carry on.
Used gen-yoo-wine Toyo (Exxon Mobil) oil and Toyo filter.
Other than the typical realization that 0W-20 oil has the consistency of water, nothing to report.

    This time around I:
    1) had the drain stream going through coffee filters before going into the pan
    2) cut the oil filter and pulled the filter media completely out, spread out and inspected in between all the pleats
    3) pulled a sample for Blackstone
    4) refilled with Pennzoil Ultra Platinum (and another Toyo filter)

Results from numbers 1 and 2:
Zero visible glitter, absolutely nothing caught in the coffee filters.
A little more to be seen in the filter pleats: you'll have to zoom in
(Knife blade on right pointing to shiny speck)
    biggest chunk.jpg

This was the next "biggest" chunk I could find (allen key pointing)
    not as big.jpg

    And finally, micro-mini non-forbidden glitter:
    tiny sparkles.jpg

So.... I'm no Lake Speed tribologist, but based on visuals alone, I'd say my engine is healthy.
As far as stuff on the microscopic level, I'll leave that to Blackstone and report in that thread when I have results.

mine is due soon for 5k oil change. I plan to inspect this filter as well. Did you pull the sample for blackstone pre coffee filter?

    Yep.
Coffee filters sitting in the drain container over the drain holes. Held the sample jar right in the oil stream before it got there.

I noticed how cheap the floor mats are, at least in the 1794 edition…

6,500 miles and its going to have a hole before it hits 10k, sorry, thats just pathetic. IMG_2530.jpg

For me… oem floor mats are always the first thing I toss and get some good all weather mats.

I see why. The quality of those floor mats is worse than junk. I drive a lot for work, 1.5 to 2hr trips, and i typically kick my shoes off and just have socks on my feet, makes longer trips so much more comfortable.

Had Katzkin “OEM Match” leather installed.

Also wrapped some trim pieces in VViViD Stealth Medium black camo vinyl. The shift console and door inserts came precut from a company called The OCD Plug. The rest I wrapped with a roll of the same vinyl. The climate control area and the area around the parking break are actually matte black overlays that I bought off of Amazon and wrapped before installing. The dash center part was removed and wrapped, then reinstalled.

Other interior bits are AJT Designs matte black door handle covers and a matte black steering wheel emblem overlay from a store on Etsy. Also, Husky Liner floor mats with TRD Offroad custom emblems, the emblems also came from a store on Etsy.

I’m really happy with how the interior came out. I wasn’t really a fan of the silver, but I think the black and gray camo pattern ties the black and silver interior together really well.

Or why there are no pockets by the transmission tunnel. Toyota made some strange design choices.

This looks nice. I've been really debating on wheels or just bigger tires since my tires are going to need to be replaced within the next six months. I'd love to run 17x9 with a higher et to be more flush with the fenders but can't find anything that's not -10/0/10, or 1200+ per wheel for what I like (rotiform roc-h/bradley v TAKUMI)

Edit: Can you dm/post the exact kit you bought
    edit again. This one? https://westcottdesigns.net/product/2022-toyota-tundra-preload-collar-lift-kit-new/

18 Months and hit 50K…..running well. Headed out for a cross country trip tomorrow. No real complaints, wish I had the JBL stereo, would have liked the cool headlights but end of the day they light up the road well enough. Replaced the plastic seat thing that breaks, new one starting to crack but dealer said they will take care of it. My service guys says my oil looks good. Drives great and runs great so far.

First dealer visit at 5675 miles for the 5K Toyota Care check-up and tire rotation.
Had the Transmission recall taken care of and....
got my 2nd fob, finally!! I got the notification about a month ago, so it took roughly 6 months from when I got the truck. (Late 12/2023)

In at 2:30 pm, out at 6. Yep, 3-1/2 hours. This was at a really big, really busy dealership.

But, I didn't have to wait for it anyway. Dealer comped me a Lyft ride home, which was nice.
Still had to have my wife drive me back there though.

So there's a little more to this boring story:

As the service writer is bringing the truck out from the service bay to the waiting/delivery bay, he backs into a parking stall, still inside the bay. As he's braking in reverse, the brakes let out a ear piercing squeal that got everyone's attention.
I've had this happen several times before. I'm aware of the TSB for the squealing brakes, but it's not a priority for me.
I back into my garage when I park, so when I pull out forward every morning at Oh-dark-thirty, no squealing whatsoever.

    Long story short:
Service writer's not aware of the TSB. Here, I have a snapshot on my phone with the number.
No thanks, I can look it up in TIS.
Since I'm here, and I obviously have the issue, can we get parts (front pads and rotors) ordered for the fix? Nope, that's not the process.
Need to make an appointment to have it diagnosed by a Tech first, then and only then can parts be ordered. And then make another appointment when the parts come in to actually do the
    work/fix.
:annoyed:Now I remember why I hated going for service at dealerships.
