Agreed. I’m looking for a set. I think they look great, and they’re forged 17s, so they’re pretty lightweight.

If the price includes the WDH, then you are good. Shouldn’t be more than 30-45 min of labor for the garage monkey.

I pulled the trigger and put a down payment on the trailer. It's the floorplan I want and they only have one. I found another one in VA for almost 2k less, but I don't want to add a day to driving and go that far out of the way to save a few $.
I should be picking it up either 1st thing Mon or Tues, depending on how the trip down goes.

Congrats on the new trailer. You have enough time before you pick it up to order everything else you'll need from Amazon like levelers, water regulator, toilet chemicals/pods, etc.

I'd still be more comfortable having a proper hitch shop do the install. RV dealers aren't known for doing it correctly.

Leaving Sat morning. I might just grab what I need from Walmart or Tractor supply, etc. The only things I think I need for this trip are wheel chocks, the 30 amp whip and the regulator. They'll probably have that at the RV place. Might be a few $ more though. But, maybe not. Prices seem to be decent down there, compared to up here in the soviet socialist republic of NY.

I'm bringing some basic tools with me. It's a 20 min drive from the RV place to the camp ground. I'll go over it and make sure it's good to go before hauling it 1200 mi back home, for sure.

If your camp site is level, you'll be good. My hitch came with instructions on how to set it up but I had the hitch shop do it partially because the street in front of my house is on a slope.

This is a vid of the model (Not the exact one I'm buying) but he lifts the sofa and you can see the fresh water tank.
Should be relatively easy to do the mods I want. Sawzall and hold my beer.

Last week, my shoulder began clicking again and making itself known. Combine that with an odd sound I get (at times) that sounds like a tag being dragged across hair(?). It’s hard to describe.
The surgeon is out until 8/6, so I have an appt with him later that week. My guess is he will want to go in there and cut down the AC (as it was showing signs of wear) which will alleviate this and hopefully some of my signs of arthritis it was showing.

    Yes you are. Welcome!

I second @Cpl_Punishment recommendation on the WDH. I will add that you should wait a few trips…load up all your gear, including the first “where the fuck is everything” episode where you reorganize everything. Then add full water… before resetting the WDH. My experience has been the dealership does a decent job but it’s a whole different trailer when loaded with water, beer, 3 chairs per person, bbq, 18 types of haircare…

    yes.
also, These are 2 possible mod ideas. Nothing crazy, But I'd really rather have counter top/work space than sitting space. It will only ever be me, possibly one other person and a dog or 2. Not a family deal.
The work bench can serve as work space and a place to eat at, plus storage underneath. I'll either chop the dinette in half and stick it by the sink, or just extend the counter space and stick some type of single chair there.
No layout will ever be perfect, but a few relatively simple mods and it will be damn close.
    Not bad for no slideouts.

Not sure how you like to camp but I think a table/counter/bench would be more useful that a dinnette. I try to eat all my meals outside when I'm camping but I never seem to have enough space to put stuff on in the trailer.

Exactly. Inside or out, not sure how you prepare any type of meal without counter space or at least a table.

This is the first trailer I've ever owned. I've always tent camped, camped out of my vehicle in remote areas to hunt, or just rented a cabin at a state park, which is kinda camping, but not really.
With this trailer, I'm parking it at the state park and that will be home base for a week. I'll be visiting my daughter and her new family and they might come up and spend a day at the park/trailer. Not sure, the new baby is pretty new. But the trailer has AC and can keep him away from the bugs. So, not really camping so much this trip, as it's a mini hotel room for a week. And the RV pad is $25 p/day, as opposed to an actual hotel room.
Not sure what kind of camping I'll do down the road with it.
But, I'll own it, so I have options now.
The van was fun as a camper, but I think this will be nicer.

Yes. You don't have to get up to take a dump.
