But man, gotta love the light and the bracket.
Houston roads are shit, but ain't off-road but the bracket holds super well.....

    @memario1214
I received your brackets and played around tonight with bolting up my new 42"" DD Light Bar. I actually found that the smaller 5mm screws only have about 1/8" of thread protruding from the bracket (using screw-lock washer-flat washer-bracket-flat washer-spacer stack up) which is not enough to get more than a thread or two into the light bar. I'm going measure them tomorrow and see if I can order some longer screws once I measure the depth available in the bar.

One funny thing is that after reading this thread, I learned this setup was on my truck and then removed before I bought it. I bought @RusPro21 Tundra last year. Hilarious.

Also worth mentioning that DD has pulled the 42” Tundra light bar from their website. I can only find the listing for the 30” bar now. Went on looking for their written instructions and can’t find the listing anymore.

Both white and amber are on their site. Just pulled these from starting at their home page.

correct but they no longer list the kit for the 2014-2021 Tundra. 2 days ago it used to show up on their tundra product page along with their crappy bracket kit for both 30 and 42” bars. Now they only list the universal kits. Maybe it just a problem with their page or they pulled the product to work on improving this kit.

Also used to be available as driving light, flood, or combo. They are only showing combo now

Gotcha. That's not how I read your post but that makes sense. I see what you are saying, I keep getting "bad gateway" and an error page when trying to load the 42" kit from a Google search on their site. Colton might have the install instructions but neither his site or HeadlightRevolution have download able instructions with their posted DD lightbar kit.

Funny, I'm just trying to determine light bar orientation. It is not symmetric and I'm not sure if it matters which side should face up/down

You should be getting more than a couple threads of depth… hmm. I suppose there’s always a chance that we picked some wrong bolts (or wrong spacers) when building your parts bag. I list the specs here on the thread somewhere.
There’s no wrong or right way on orientation. I usually prefer to have the lead for the light bar coming out the driver’s side for ease of wire routing.

Which option is the white middle and yellow on the ends? Is that “white” for color and “combo” for beam patter ?

Not sure what your usage will be, but if mostly on-road, I would go for combo, as far as color goes, I have white with amber ends (swap out the lens to make it happen) but have found that the white completely overpowers the amber to the point that you have to make an effort to see it. Will I do it again? Yes, it does kinda narrow/focus the white light, with a softer amber to round out the edges, granted, the amber seems.....missing. But at least it's there if you look hard enough.

Ohhhh ok, so the yellow ends are from people customizing it? Got it.

My usage will be backroads and then random camping style stuff or lighting up the backyard. I don’t off-road outside of going to campgrounds or driving the truck around back for firewood or at the motocross track. That kinda thing.

Yea, the factory configuration is either all white or all amber, driving or flood or combo.
I spoke with @memario1214 about it and he said to get two amber lens (I think $3/pc? It's been a few years) and switch them before I install it.
It comes out great, looking at it from the outside, white stands out while the amber kinda, regulates it? Like, it focus the white much more while amber stands there and makes it very clear.
From the inside, unfortunately, it is more while than amber you can see, but because I have the 42 inch light, the sides does actually be wider than it feels, so the amber light would kinda fade out further away from the truck.
Your user case? I would say get white combo, and maybe two amber lens and play with it and see how you feel about the amber part, worst, you are out only two lens which will be less than $10 (hopefully.....)

Thanks for the assist @Ghost Rider ! As stated, the outside sections being orange are a result of folks swapping them out themselves. It has a functional aspect, but is aesthetic as well.

As for patterning, I now recommend the wide pattern over the flood. I find that Diode's flood pattern, in most applications... kinda sucks. It loses so much light to the optic and up that there's little left to be able to use. I'm still down with amber, but go wide instead. If desired, we also offer the lens swap for you so that you don't have to mess with it yourself.
