Another grill, surround/dechroming thread

Pardon if this question has been answered definitively. I have searched this forum and I’m still confused.

2021SR5 Barcelona red

Would like to dechrome the front.

So as far as I can tell, I have two options.

I can buy the 20 14–17 surround/pro grill and have a TSS sensor relocation kit, which may or may not work without throwing a warning. This comes in Barcelona red. Color match.

I can buy a 2018–21 pro grill/ surround. Then have it painted ,as The surround does not come in Barcelona red for those years.

So my questions are:
Can I buy a 2014–17 grill surround in Barcelona Road and use my SR – 5 Grill ?
Just not use the pro grill and replace it with my SR5 grill?

Is there any other ways that I could approach this other then what is outlined above?

 

Yes sir you can...

 

If shipping wasn't so damn expensive......but yes, you can swap the center inserts. You.just have to take your time and try not to break any of the clips.

 

This. Recommend a heat gun to loosen up the clips. There are a few YT videos on doing a swap.
