I picked up some NYTOP rear recovery points. For those not familiar, they bolt onto the frame with two of the trailer hitch bolts. I am having a very difficult time breaking those bolts loose. I’ve tried both a breaker bar and cordless impact with no success.

For those that have installed these, were your bolts difficult to break loose?

I just installed these. I loosened the nut side. You’ll need a wrench to hold the bolt side. I was tight but doable. I used a 1/2 inch ratchet and socket. Try spraying some PB Blaster on it too. I also had to lower the spare tire to get a bolt off on the passenger side.

I did the same last week. I sprayed them with a liquid wrench and let them set for 24 hours, then used an impact wrench, and they came off.

I just used an impact and a wrench. No issues.
