I just happen to have my busiest week of the year this week

 

I have AC but Im painting a room and sealed it off from the rest of the house and have windows open, hot boxing fumes in 90+ degrees all day!

 

Gross. I hope this forecast is wrong for Tuesday and Wednesday. Summer is definitely here.

Worked on my repair and improvement of my water sprinkler system today for a few hours. I wore a brimmed hat and long sleeved shirt and pants to keep the sun and dirt off. My heat pump that is in the morning sun was at 118, but it’s now down to 92 as it’s in the shade. House is at 73 on the inside now. The official temp is 86 and may climb a few more degrees today. I’m staying inside.

 

I'm in the tri-cities and enjoying this 100*+ dry heat. My wife and kids are loving it too.

 

Heck yeah the power just went out and now it’s 95!

I have a 3500w generator but now Im definitely gonna pick up a 10k or bigger gas/diesel to be able to run the heatpump/blower. No natural gas here so the usual generac type systems don’t work unless you have enormous propane tanks at 2.5$ a gallon. Better to find out now vs in the middle of a week long ice storm outage.

 

We're definitely feeling it as well here on the coast... mid to upper 60s this last week w/a day or two into the low 70s

 

It gets too damn hot but mostly it will cool down overnight.

 

We hit 100 here in Vernonia

 

I remember complaining it was 60 deg in Ilwaco while it was 80's up North. Loved being in SW WA and I didn't mind the rain...

We got the mom mobile tinted in time for the showcase in Sacramento. Should be final 15% all around and 70% windshield. Let’s see if it helps.

I know live in CO but with all this talk of how hot it is everywhere I think only @Tripleconpanna @RainMan_PNW and myself are those ones who are still in the 70's? And I hate to say it, but we're hitting 81 in a few days and I'm not sure how I'm going to be able to hold up. How in the hell do y'all deal with anything over 90 on the daily?

edit. I say this because when the kids fly the coop the wife and I have seriously been considering moving to WA state, like the east side of the cascades.

 

Getting tint on the Tundra and 4runner this weekend.

 

So worth it. The first time I had the front windows on a vehicle I couldn’t believe I hadn’t it done sooner. So much nicer. While it is not tinted I also have a UV film on the windshield which makes a big difference in temps.

 

@RainMan_PNW is pretty close to me but a little higher in elevation and we have been flirting with triple digits the last week or so I don't think he has been much different temps than me. You and @Tripleconpanna might be the only ones.

 

Yeah - it was too fucking hot last weekend. I ran up into Canada the last three days and enjoyed some LOW 80’s but had to come home and get back to work on chores

 

It is strange that your area, that has a more direct shot from the Pacific, can get 5-10 degrees hotter than the Seattle area.
