Awesome, glad to hear things are so far so good for you. I had a leer on my 2013 Tacoma and never an issue. Didn't even know one existed.

Well, I know it has been said, but I'll repeat it. Bed stiffeners are the answer with these composite beds. They also offer extra tie downs. On my Tacoma, the bed stiffeners became my favorite modification.

A favorite mod, interesting. From the looks of the photos they appear a mod that would be stuck out and in my way with how I load things for trips. At least for me.

Here is how they looked on my Tacoma (sorry, this is the only picture I took of the stiffeners). I'm not sure what's available for the Tundra, but these Total Chaos ones for the Tacoma were fairly low profile. I was doing a lot of off roading when I installed them and the intent was to reduce bed flex. They also added tie down points and let me put in the little grocery-getter net for my wife. I get why people may not like them, but they are better than a bent bed.

I thought so as well, initially. But they stay tucked back pretty well, and you can still stack 48” sheets of plywood with no issues. They're also not in the way of a Mountain Hatch tailgate panel. They haven’t been a problem for me at all.

Hello everyone that has been replying about the Tundra truck box spreading at tailgate. I have been selling and installing truck canopies for many many years, thousands sold and installed. The A.R.E. DCU standard
series canopy is not heavy 150 - 200 lbs. average. The back of this canopy does not spread out and flex like fiberglass canopies. Never a need to pull in the sides on a DCU unlike on a fiberglass canopy.
All trucks no matter what brand are built cheaper and cheaper with every new model change. Lots of bling but no common sense for the working man who needs a working truck. The new Ford Rangers are an insult to any truck buyer since the new model came out in 2019 (swiss cheese box), box full of holes no chance of canopy or tonneau cover being somewhat water tight. Anyone who wants water tight no leaks, I show them the sign in the showroom here - YES YOUR TRUCK BOX LEAKS. Then I ask them to go back and talk to the dealerships and demand that a better truck be built. It will only get worse and worse until someone decides yes we need to build a real truck again like we did many years ago. When metal was metal and not paper thin tin. Good luck out there, Laverne.

I have a 2023 with the 6.5 bed. It has a Leer low roof cap on it now and so far no issues.
