TRD black exhaust tips for 2017 limited with existing TRD exhaust system

This may have been posted before but I could not find it

I have a 2017 limited with the TRD performance exhaust system. I want to change the exhaust tips from the chrome TRD to black TRD. I am having trouble finding the tailpipe kit that would fit this. Everything I find is for 2022 or newer.

Any help would be appreciated

You have the TRD dual exhaust?

This is the rear pipes with the black tips.
It's a separate part from the mufflers.

^^^^ this as those are welded on so you will need the back piece of the exhaust for both sides.

 

I do have the TRD dual exhaust, it came with the chrome tips.

I checked out the Sparks website but it says it will not fit my 2017 and i can only get a full exhaust system replacement ordered

Yes, it will fit 2014 to 2021 also long as you don't have an 8' bed, and you wouldn't if you already have the TRD exhaust...
Possibly fit 2011 to 2021..

Google the part number and find a dealer with the best price including shipping.
Sparks has a discount code using TUNDRAS.COM not sure what the discount is.

I am in process of de-chroming this truck and this has been a pain to track down

 

You could also find a shop locally that may do black ceramic coating or powder coating.
Not sure how they will hold up though..

I have been trying to keep OEM as much as possible

Wanted to keep away from powder coating the exhaust - have seen too many paint failures with the heat

I have been shopping all over, it’s the shipping that burns

 

just a heads up, get the tailpipes mounted and secured before unwrapping the tips.
Other members have mentioned the oils from fingerprints will become baked into the black chrome.
