Dealer did a recall on April 15. Today truck started skipping on highway check engine light lit. When I pulled into breakdown lane I smelt gas. Gas was leaking out. Had it towed to the dealer. Will find out what they say Monday.
Anyone have similar issue after the recall completed?

Yep, sounds like a technician FUBAR'd something. Hopefully you get fixed up quick.

    Lots of stuff!
Was that recall the temporary fix?

I thought the real fix wasn't ready yet. I checked my app and it doesn't give a date but just says they are preparing the parts and repair instructions for the remedy.

I had the temporary fix done a few months ago and so far haven't seen any leaks.

Just be careful not to park it in the garage or near the house.

Must have been the temp fix.
It starts with a minor skip then gradually increases and check engine light comes on. The gas leaks out fast. Be aware of this issue. Thank god it did not catch fire.

Sounds like the tech that re-installed the tank may have forgot to push the red clip all the way back in on the fuel line and the fuel line popped off.....is what it sounds like to me

Is there a definite answer on the fixes? Meaning is the permanent fix still coming? The recalls listed in my app don't make it clear 23TA09 one says Remedy notice and the other says Interim Remedy Notice.

So are we still awaiting a final fix? I've avoided the temporary one so I can just do the permanent one.

I haven't seen an update to the fuel line fix other than what we all know. It may be clouded by the bigger engine recall!

You could wait till this happens I guess.....

After I saw that thread I was like I'm going to make that appointment now, but hey keep waiting and maybe you can have your truck delivered to the dealership via flat bed too if you want to go that route. I would rather do it on a planned day rather then unexpected.

They didn’t even have to drop the tank when I had the temporary fix done. Took about an hour. All they do is put a protective sheathing in places that the plastic fuel line (possibly) rubs.
