    looking at 2024 1794 iMax Turbo Hybrid
    OK, I just want the most comfy riding Hybrid 4WD Tundra.

    I guess I have reached the point in my life where comfort rules. I have been trying to figure out what truck to buy to get me as comfy a ride as I can get... in a truck.

    Any help in this endeavor would be greatly appreciated.

    My thoughts are:
    • Adaptive Variable Suspension (AVS),
    • Load-Leveling Rear Height Control Air Suspension
    • Stability Control (VSC) Electronic Stability Control (ESC)
    • Smaller rims with bigger tires
    Am I thinking the right way about this?

    Just as a reference, I currently drive a 2015 Lexus ES350. I do not expect to match this ride, but this is what I am shooting for, LOL...

    I don’t have the AVS on my limited but did change out the 20s with 17s and a 34” AT tire (toyo open country at3s). Was able to get a C load and I noticed a pretty big difference in ride comfort from the stock setup. Took about 2 mpg from my fuel economy but don’t really care about that but way better over bumps and just a softer ride overall.

    My 1794 came with 20" wheels with 265/60R20 tires, switched to 18" wheels with 265/70R18 tires and it improved the ride quality and handling significantly.

    Yeah my Platinum with AVS and Air rides in comfort a bit too soft for my liking, and a little sloppy. But its good on the highways. It is very soft. Friend owns a Suburban and it rides better than hers she said.

    Did the exact same 265/70/18 size on the BBS pro wheels, it improved the ride compared to the 20" rims. 20" rims have no business on a truck unless they have 35" or 37" tires on them and even then its better to go 18's.

    dial sport+ when you want to to stiffen up (that’s what she said, I know , ha)

    It then hardly rolls at all and you can boost in the corners etc

    AVS with load leveling for sure. I drive around town in normal or tow+. Highway gets comfort or custom mode with tight suspension, normal steering and normal engine performance. Can't beat these trucks

    I am 6'4" so I never had running boards on a truck. This one came with them and my god are they nice to have getting in.

    I have 35s on my truck and I still went with 18s for wheel size. Especially with a 4WD and off-roading a bit. The last thing you want is less sidewall, you'll just run a higher risk of rock rashing your nice wheels. Mine rides great, for a truck, and my tires are F loads. It's never going to be Lexus E350 levels of nice, but it's the softest riding truck I've ever had. Almost too soft for a truck, but that's me.

    Depends on how long you want to keep the truck. I have an LX470 with the adjustable suspension. Not sure it was called AVS at the time. It was very good for several years but in the last few years it rides like shit.

    RAS, 285/75 DTs, dual battery, SS3 Pro
    That system is called AHC, and it is hydraulic like your brakes. Maintenance can be a pain, but that system is SO good at what it does. I just added new globe accumulators and bled mine on our 570. Pump still works well at 179k miles. I may add new struts to the 200k mile maintenance list.

    You want to tow, but want it perfectly leveled out every time? You want to set damping for ride comfort and cornering? You want a 2”+ lift all the way around for off-roading at the flick of a switch? You want to drop your rig 1” so grandma can get in more easily? AHC does it. And as long as you don’t let the lines rust out, it’ll last forever. Even then, they’re not super difficult to replace.

    love that guy...yeah these shocks are way different than the one explained above...all you have is a 2 or 3 wire plug...no old school hydraulics

    No difference between the pro's and any other tundra as far as bolt pattern, brakes, drivetrain, etc.. Just shocks and front sway bar. The Pro wheels do poke out a tiny bit more and there is a thread around here somewhere that discussed the difference in offset. I added the pro fender flares too to take care of that and once I went to a Toyo AT3 265/70/18 its tucked in just right.

    Keep in mind the 285/65/18 Falkens are complete and utter garbage and you can run them for a summer tire for a season but don't count that as part of your purchasing decision I paid $1900 for my take off set and sold the Falken mildpeaks for $240.00 after they had about 7000 miles on them (basically I look at it as buying them $1660 which is a little pricey compared to aftermarket but they are forged and I really like them). The OEM falkens are not the same as the Falkens you buy in the tire store (search for Falken Mildpeaks or Falken Wildpeaks on here too and you'll see that Falken literally confirmed they aren't the same). Love the Toyo's though.
