I was wondering if any of you had issues with your seat extender not working and subsequently getting fixed. My seat extender motor quit working on my '24 a month after I took delivery. I brought it in and they ordered a new seat frame to put in. I showed up to the dealer today and they took it back only to come out an hour later an tell me there is a new Toyota service bulleting that says to repair it another way and not replace the seat frame. That sounds great until they tell you that part is on back order and they don't know when they will get it in.

I have had Lexus 460 and Toyota 4Runner before with 0 problems. This '24 Tundra has had so many little things wrong with it. I now know why everyone said a Toyota that doesn't have a "J" in the VIN is not the same level of quality.

So what are they going to do with the seat frame that they ordered to fix your seat? Seems to me the part was already allocated for a specific purpose and justified against the previous service entry. Simple process to remove parts required to repair using new prescribed process?

I have no idea what they are going to do with the part. I asked him if they could just use it and the service tech said no and that warranty wouldn't cover it if they fixed it that way. On the new ticket, I noticed the fix is to replace the bushings. We shall see.
