Wheelers AALs came in. Got delivered Saturday and I didn't get home till Sunday evening. They were still there fortunately.

Nice. So you still haven't shown us a pic of your HD leaf springs. You mentioned something was wrong with em.
What's the plan? Rehab em and throw on the AAL? Junkyard leaf packs? I think bastard pack with one bastard leaf plus AAL is the hot ticket. We built one at Casey's, but never tried it out. That was with an icon AAL though.

Just regular old general springs. There was some gaps between the springs but they say that's normal. I'm gonna throw these AALs in and call it good for now. $1000 for Deavers or Alcans is a bit spicy right now.

What'd you do with those single AALs you bought?
If you or @JakeJake don't find a use for em, I might want em
I want to add a leaf to my Alcans some where. It doesn't hold weight well and even empty, the truck has the slightest squat. Like a half inch low in the rear unloaded. Maybe I'll add a leaf to the top of the lowered trucks leaf pack, to stiffen it just a little more and effectively lower it another 3/4", or whatever the thickness of the leaf is.

@01GGTundraSR5 help me out cause my arthritis is a cunt, changed out the "bad" 02s, and yesterday on the 25 minute test run shit was great, and 8 minutes into my drive to work to day, the problem persists.
    IMG20240702143424.jpg

I cleaned my throttle body. Changed the 02s on bank 1. Clean MAF, new air filter, no leaks or cracks visible. Unless it's just a phantom cache code still popping up, I'm about to put new injectors in. IDK what else it could be.

Is there any potential issue with risking a fake speed sensor? I have to replace the rear right speed sensor and the cheapest one is $121.
I’m very tempted to try this “OEM” one from eBay

Air leak (vacuum, manifold gasket, etc.)

@bmf4069 can probably comment on that one.

Man I had a dreaded p0171 on my 99 taco for a few months before it was totalled (collision, not from the CEL). I tried changing the spark plugs, fuel filter, running 93, sea foam, cleaned TB and MAF, changed the O2 sensor.
I didn't have a good idea how to check for vacuum leaks and I didn't check the fuel pump.
To this day, I think it was the fuel pump. I drove it on E from Conroe back to Huntsville and drove it up a big hill to get gas, where it shuddered and berely made it up the hill. I think I starved the fuel pump and maybe a month later the CEL came on while on a road trip to the hill country.

Did you get the 12 hole injectors?

    Smoke test.

But I agree, could also be fuel pump and/or fuel filter clog and/or regulator nerfing fuel distribution to engine. IIRC, the 2UZ-FE has one regulator per rail, one per rail/bank, which sort of makes it unlikely it would be they, both aren't liable to go out at the same time.

@bmf4069 did end up replacing his fuel filter IIRC, but I think his codes were intake manifold gasket breach.

How much does that one cost?

I would try out one of the cheapies from Rockauto if price is an issue.

Is there an affordable way to do that test at home or does it require a rofessional?

That’s a good point. Slight difference with them not pretending to be a quality part. Worth a shot. I’m curious if there are any potential problems that could come from a cheap sensor, other than abs light coming back on, or sensor not working.

Yup, get the propane bottle out and start spraying it around the intake manifold. You can use it to check your vac hose connections too.

I did, but it was also when I first got the truck in 2018. Never again.

We have a pulse damper where the fuel line comes in, which would be a fail point common to both sides.

    Propane bottle.

@JakeJake I can't seem to strum up where you requested it, (EDIT: found and quoted!) but I finally got around to taking that pic you wanted of the RR splash apron on a board. Hopefully this helps. If you want me to pop the L so you'll have a full set to template, LMK.

I should really pull all four of mine and snap pics of them on a board like this, upload for the general crowd to template off. Or just sketch templates of all four. Wasn't sure which side would translate better, I think the lighter is better.

    Thanks man!

If you really want to take that that templating project on, I can put together a .dxf drawing of all four so a guy could use a service like sendcutsend or xometry to get a fresh set cut.

No pressure, as I'm a little tied up cutting the back of the Tundra off.

Started the day with a little LSD swaparoo. Both ring gears stamped 3.90 so that worked out.

I flushed the housing with a full can of brake clean, and wiped any residue clean before blowing some compressed air through the tubes to promote evaporation of the solvent. I used "the right stuff" 90 minute RTV instead of a Dif gasket. I love that stuff.20240702_115522.jpg

Spring hangers, LSPV bracket, and shock mounts shaved. Here it is under the back of the truck. Gotta let em know you've got that dog in you.
    20240702_163828.jpg

Playing with leaf packs and fabricating the u-bolt eliminator tomorrow. Might start chopping out crossmembers if they get in my way.
