I live in the Pacific Northwest and stumbled on this Tundra forum looking for torque specs for the 10mm bolts that hold on the front grill. I thought it would be a great forum for news and accessories for my truck. My young daughter, when we bought a 2013 Audi, named it Christine. When she was old enough to appreciate the reference to that name, I told her about the movie Christine. When we bought the Subaru in 2022, she was 14 and we needed a name for the Subaru, to which she named it Chucky. So imagine my surprise when we traded the Audi for the 2024 Metallic Grey Tundra 1794 and she named it Annabelle.

Hi there! If it's anything like the 2/2.5 gen, I'd say lightly snugged can be a proper torque :D

Name it Sybil. I’d put them a tad bit tighter than snug. If no one chimes in with specs

Awesome on the torque! It’s the 16 10mm bolts top/mid/bottom AND the Phillips screws on the driver panel that are used to remove the body from the chrome. You see…. Before I knew where the front driver side fender was, I scratched it coming out of the garage and then again on the metal black railing on a ramp trying to turn the truck around in a tight parking lot. :/

You ‘guys’ are great! We bought the truck right before my 15yo needed to practice driving. Not a bad vehicle to learn the rules of the road, right? She’s standing on the passenger side. So on the driver side bumper panel, I had a body painter repair the damage I did. So the entire grill (chrome) plus the two bumper panels come off in one piece. I then removed the single panel before taking it to the painter. We’ve since put the grill back on. It’s the easiest auto repair part on/off that I’ve done in forever. 20 10mm bolts and 5 Phillips screws keeping the panel on the grill. All put back. I tested the just beyond snug with the other bolts and matched that. I’ll double check in a bit after I drive it that they don’t work loose. I used removeable loc tight.

We fell for the “I have too many new trucks, I’ll give you a good deal” line…

She’s barely leaning against the truck. She was doing a fashion stance almost like a cheerleader. Not on the truck actually. That picture was actually her first park job all in the lines. She was excited. :)
