Hello I am needing some help!

Installed some lighting this weekend along with a power switch and now I have the PCS warning light on?

Could this be caused by me leaving the door open while installing the items? How do I clear the error or will this just correct itself.

I have already wiped down all sensors & cleaned the windshield. This is on 2023 Toyota Tundra Hybrid.

Did you block the sensor at all?

Not that I can see. There's only two sensors for the PCS the one in the grill & cameras in the windshield.

Added ditch lights and some wiring for the Power switch so not sure where it could have gone wrong besides leaving the doors open while install for over a period of time.

You can try disconnecting the battery for a little while and see what happens. The Tundras have become very sensitive when it comes to electrical work/mods since 2014. It's best to disconnect the battery any time you are adding lighting, leds, or any type of wiring.

Yea it seems like its so sensitive in everyway in comparison to my old 3rd gen 4runner. Will the disconnection of the battery cause any custom settings to be removed? Just to remind others that this is on the Hybrid version of the tundra.

Where did you tap into for power?

leaving doors open has nothing to do with the pre collision system.

upload_2024-7-1_10-54-33.png I used the 7.5 Tow fuse instead of the one in red box. Stole this picture from another post.

The towing system is looped in with the pre collision system. It’s quite possible it’s causing a power interruption on the circuit and triggering the fault. Remove the tap and see if the pre collision goes away.

I used the same tap location for my grille lights but maybe they aren't as demanding as a switch panel?

I haven't had any issues with the PCS systems or sensors, and I have had the grille off twice so far.

I have the switch accessories wire tapped into it and the Back lighting for a Diode Dynamics Ditch Light which all 3 barely pulls any power really.

UPDATE: I had the fuse tap in the wrong location one under the TOW which threw the code. Quick swap and the error message was gone. Confirmed that both slots will power the ACC just needs to make sure a fuse is in the Tow slot or it will throw the PCS code.

    Thanks @Danman34

Seems odd, did any of the plugs get dislodged? I ran my DD lightbar into my plug area next to the steering wheel and found a few extra active plugs tucked behind the blank plug covers, so I used one and made the switch install much easier.

Next are some DD fogs if I can find them. :)
