Kneeling in NFL what are your thoughts

What's your opinion on kneeling in the NFL? I for one do not agree to it but I like to hear others opinions

 

Bunch of prima donnas who think they're owed respect, protesting incidents that didn't happen the way that their protests would indicate. In short, it's bullshit. They've never done a thing to earn the freedoms they enjoy and very few of them would lift a finger to preserve those freedoms.

 

Freedom of speech but frankly I'm tired of everything being turned into a political stance. Also I watch sports to unwind and escape all the bs of the world.

I'll admit things aren't perfect here but I'm sure they are a lot better here than other places.

We live in the single greatest country on the planet. These people that are choosing not to stand during our national anthem are living proof of some of the opportunities that we have in this country that most others around the world do not. People who believe in this country should stop watching football, stop contributing to these tantrum-throwing, sniveling little entitled people their multi-million dollar salaries.

I don't want to get too political because I really don't want to offend anyone, but pop-culture right now is continuing the brainwashing of the already feeble-minded millennial generation. I feel bad for my kids who will really have to battle these mentalities in the future.

 

I think these overpaid losers need a lesson in humilty. You disrespect the flag and our country, you should be fired. I understand freedom of speech, but that doesn't mean the world revolves around them. You also can't yell fire in a crowded theatre if there isn't one. Two different things but on the same parallel. Just like someone has the right to stomp on or burn the flag. That said, don't come crying when a veteran stomps your ass into a mudhole because of it.

 

Maybe they should try living in the Middle East or parts of Africa without their millions, they’ll soon realize what inequality is all about

 

I believe wholeheartedly in the Constitution and the rights we have in this country. We are all truly blessed to live here, and to be able to do and say as we see fit. I find it incredibly disappointing that our professional athletes are choosing to disrespect the memories of the great men and women who sacrificed and bled for their freedoms. This is doing nothing except deepening the divide we have here, and it's ruining one of our most revered traditions.

 

I am on my second season of no NFL. If the Chiefs and Cowboys play I might watch as the owners of those teams have laid down the team rule to their paid employees. I spent over 30 years serving the country and community as a paid employee and surrendered a lot of my freedom of speech as a term of that employment. I do not feel I am owed anything for jobs I chose to do. But to disrespect our flag as a show of protest to me is unacceptable. One of the many great things about our country is we have men and women who volunteer to pay the ultimate sacrifice so those here can do what they want and pursue riches entertaining others. I think at every NFL game when the national anthem is played, a split screen of Patrick Tillman should be posted one side in his football uniform and the other in his Army uniform. One of the many reasons we stand and salute the flag is because of men and women like him. He chose to forgo riches for a belief.

The way the nfl and its players and the ms media is acting does not suprise me at all. I see right through that bullshit. They are digging a hole so deep they will never be able to get out of. Hollywood is about just as bad too.

 

Second year of not watching NFL. College on the other hand....

Over paid prima donna "athletes" that are kneeling to be completely disrespectful. Millions of people have died for our freedom and these POS's have the nerve to kneel. What do they want? Let's not forget, they need us as fans to be employeed...we don't need them.

 

NFL owners demand a certain level of decency of their players. The NFL demands the same of the teams, owners and players. I do not understand why the NFL allows this disrespect to the flag. I saw posted in another venue that NFL rules dictate teams will be on the field for the anthem. If this is the case, fine them. At least have the league show respect for a country great enough to have football.

 

I'm not gonna watch another game.

I don't understand why they dont tell them.. hey, you don't want to stand for the anthem? Fine, stay in the locker room until it's over.

 

How about what Alejandro Villanueva from the Steelers did today while both teams were in the locker room , nothing but respect!

Their protest would mean more if it involved personal sacrifice.

Stand for the flag, and the anthem. Show some respect to those who are dying or have died for that flag, anthem, and your freedom.

Want to protest injustice? Donate that hilarious paycheck you get for playing a "game".

Stop wearing all the free shit given to you by companies that torture children to manufacture your apparel.
