I'm not on FB, my wife sent me the link but...
Someone over here got a dog they can't handle. He looks just like our girls and the age is about the same.


I'm battling with myself and my wife rather we need a 3rd dog...If we did this we'd have to fence in more of the yard. If that's not Sugar and Honey's brother I'd be shocked.

 

Well, you certainly have a type.

Sorry to @catus and @Yinzer73 for their loss of Coco and Winne. Hopefully with time the pain will hurt less.

It's been almost 3 years since we lost our first, she battled cancer for 2.5yrs. Our second is getting older now and my wife is finally thinking of maybe getting another. The loss of our first really hit her hard.

This is Bear, born June 1, 2007, crossed the rainbow bridge today, July 3rd, 2024.

we knew the day was coming, for a mid size dog (60-65lbs) he has had a long and wonderful life, there's a gaping hole in our hearts.

 

Sorry to hear this. It's never easy, is it...

Two more years than my JRT that was born around a year prior. My condolences.

 

We are about to feel the pain, our fur friend of 12 years was just diagnosed with cancer of the spleen. The Great memories have always got us through the tough times with the others we have lost. Positive thoughts to you and your family.

 

I completely understand what you've been living for the past couple of years. We have a 15 yo golden mix with untreatable cancer. We're just trying to make her life as good as possible, as I know you did. I'll say a prayer for your family tonight.

I think somewhere someone said "The price of a good dog is a broken heart", they really teach people how to be human, I'm a firm believer how someone treat a pet shows their true color.

The funny thing is, Bear has been in many different vehicles, more than most, but his favorite was the Tundra, he loved being in the truck just going to places.

 

So much truth in both of these statements....

The backseat of my '08 crewmax has not been used human transport since about 2009. I ended up building a stable platform back there and have very comfortably travelled w/up to 3 pups at one time on vacations, camping trips and everything in between in that truck.

At the same time, it kinda sucks because as many great memories as we have w/our pups in that truck, it's also the rig they get their 'last ride' in...
I really hate that part
