Curious about y'all's opinion on wether I should paint the cap I just picked up Wind Chill Pearl, or spray it black to match the trim on the truck.
If I color match it, it'll cost about $960 to have it done professionally. If I go black, I'll probably spray it myself for under $200.
I picked it up this last weekend for $1,200, seller said it was used for about 6 months before he traded his Tundra in on an F250. The cap is a must due to our 3 Cane Corso's.
    Thoughts welcome.

It’s all personal preference, but I personally can’t stand a mismatched cap. Yeah there’s extra cost to get it matched, but on such a nice rig I’d say it looks out of place being a different color. Search for some pictures with color matched caps in your color way and decide if you like the look enough to spend the money.

Wind chill pearl. The dogs and their one bed that they all share will thank you every day.

LMFAO!! We can only afford one bed, 40 lbs of food only lasts 10 days. plus it doesn't matter how many beds are laying around, they always end up on the same bed.

Color match. Wind chill pearl isn’t a traditional white that looks good with black (like many Toyota owners that do the storm trooper thing).

I think in the long run you’ll be happier with the color match.

Finally got it painted and back on the truck, just in time for my annual trip down to AR. And definitely went with color match.
Cap cost $1,200 from Marketplace, and $945 for paint at a local shop. I have to say they matched the pearl paint perfectly.

I went the other way. Got a great deal on a grey metallic cap for my wind chill. Was going to use bedliner and blacken it out. But the dull bedliner didn't look right with the wind chill.
And I've seen other in both whites with matching caps. Makes an expensive truck look like a fleet truck there to do a job.
And nobody confuses it with a SUV either. Lots of color combo you just say no to, but sometimes it works. I am thinking of making the roof match. I just saw a custom painted F150 who body was white and the roof grey. It looked good
