This has happened about 10 times now where I’m driving along and my truck just shuts off. The engine dies. I can put it back in neutral and it starts right back up but it’s scary. Any ideas ? I have a 2007 double can with a 5.7. It’s an SR5. Thanks

Assuming it's a battery problem, it will probably not give a code. The ability to restart right away kinda raises a red flag. I would start by cleaning the battery terminals and making sure they're on tight. The only reason I've been left stranded so far is my battery dying and I'd have to either jump it or wiggle a loose terminal. Only time I've towed it, my starter had died and wouldn't come back on. If all the battery checks out. Maybe it's time to look at Crankshaft/Camshaft position sensors. Looking for damage or build up.

No check engine light other than when it happens. As soon as I start it again it goes off. I will check the battery terminals and the battery. Thank you !
