I recently purchased a 2019 tundra double cab. I used to have a 2011 double cab and there were pockets and cupholders in the rear doors of the 2011 but 2019 does not have them. Was this an option or are all new ones the same? Seems silly to get rid of such a useful thing. Do you think the door panel from a 2nd gen will fit on a 2.5 gen?

Cup holders are in the fold down center console on my 2017.

I notice the same thing when I went from a 2007 to my 2021 and was annoyed by it too. I just assumed it was decontenting, although I don't see it as big money savings. My kids used to use those door pockets/cup holders all the time in my old truck.

The door panels should swap since they are the same doors, but not sure the old panels will match the newer interior.

My 21 SR5 CrewMax has both pockets and cupholders in all four doors. What trim is your truck?

2021 tundra crew max, 1794, Smoked Mesquite
Rear Sway bar, TRD dual exhaust, storage unit under rear seat, cargo mate, 10 spoke aftermarket 21" rims (Lexus), weather tech mates, Morimoto headlights, HR hood bar light, Chrome deleted: bulge, grille surround, valance, bumper end caps, mirrors. Replaced all parts with smoked mesquite, and L.E.D bright interior lights.
Toyota tundra is a very dependable, reliable, and mechanical sound vehicle. The marketing divisions input on each trim level is totally reverse: SR5 and limited has alot of options that should be available in the Platinum, 1794 or TRD PRO. I have a 2021 crew-max 1794 because of the interior color. It has cost me hundreds of dollars to chrome delete the mirrors, bumpers, valance, grille surround, and bugle. The Limited trim level has a chrome delete package with a smoked grille, but unable to obtain the 1794 country interior. The chrome package make the vehicle have the same cheap identity as Dodge, GMC, Ford, and Chevrolet. The client should be able to order their vehicle directly from the factory with all options on the table.

Somebody at Toyota Interiors watched Wall-E before working on the 2014 refresh and thought 'we need WAY FEWER cup holders..'
