Gen 3 tundra singnal mirrors

Hello everyone my name is David I’m from south texas , I need some help I recently purchased an 2024 sr5 tundra that came with the regular plain mirrors I really like the way the painted ones with the turn signal light look does anyone know or has tried to swap them out and make them work or is there any harness that has to be swapped out ?

 

I do not but will watch this. I have the TOW mirrors on my 1794 and hate them, and want to swap them out for regulars. In Canada and top end trim in 2022/23 got tow mirrors for some retarded reason.

 

That sucks man I really hope it’s possible maybe for you it’ll be easier since it’s a higher trim that already has all the wiring setup for them to work

 

I have a 23 SR5 sport with the plain black mirrors and tried this. I installed the turn signal mirrors and they plug right in, but I don't have the wire to power the signals. The power adjustment and heated mirror functions worked, but no turn signals or BSM. You need the BSM sensors for that option to work as well.
I ended up just painting my mirror caps and it turned out pretty well.

Mine didn’t come with these those are the ones I’m trying to get and see if that light will work with mine ? That does have a function right that a blinker singnal ?

It needs washed so ignore the bug splatter, but here it is. I bought a color matched spray can kit from touchupdirect.com. It takes some patience but mine turned out pretty well.

 

Came out pretty good. I think i'm going to wait for bumbershellz to offer a cover and i'll get that color matched. I didn't get my truck yet but I ordered a lower grill cover to break up the all black grill, 4-6 weeks to ship.

 

Colekbod , thank you very much I really appreciate it I was just talking to my wife the other day about this that I wanted to get the other mirrors with the signal lights but if they weren’t gonna work why not just paint the caps on the ones I have but I had no idea how they would look I searched for pictures and nothing I honestly really like how it came out looks pretty damn good

 

Ordered a set from my dealer to replace the chrome caps. $75 each.

 

For blacks or color matched?

 

I ordered color matched, celestial silver. Gave them my VIN so they could look up the correct ones for options.
