I recently purchased a 2024 Tundra with 1794 trim and swapped the tires from my previous truck to the stock Toyota wheels. Now I cannot get the TPMS to reset using the reset function on the instrument panel. I took it to a local tire shop but they don’t have the software to program the 2024 sensors. I’ve driven a couple of hundred miles since mounting the tires.

These tires had Ride-on tire balancer/sealer in them but it never touched the valve stem. A local Toyota dealer tells me I have to pay them $100 to reprogram the sensors. Has anyone had a similar problem resetting the sensors or do I just need to drive it more? Do I need to just pay the dealer the $100, or did I screw up and ruin the sensors with the sealant? I’ve been using it for years without issues.

Sounds to me like you need to spend money to found out. Also, may end up with new sensors. Your choice.

That’s what I’m thinking. Just wanted to submit the query while I waited for my dealer service appointment next week.

    Alot of them
The sensors are sealed units. I doubt that the sealant did anything to them.
