Carista Question

I have as 2024 Tundra and no experience with Carista or other such devices. However, I am considering one to eliminate the fake engine noise, and possibly disable the seatbelt chimes.

Will using a Carista, or other such device, affect the warranty? Will Toyota Service Techs notice adjustments? If so, will they change everything back to default?

 

Just did this myself about two weeks ago. Had it at the dealer on Tuesday and they didn’t say or change anything.

 

Same for me today. At dealer for new FOB and oil change. Left the carista plugged in and no one said anything.

 

Post where you are, might be one next door for all you know. Takes all of 5 minutes to make the changes.

I changed

- turned off ALL seat belt chimes
- turned off fake engine
- changed lane change from 3 blinks to 5
- changed ambient temp to -2 ( AC works 100% better )
- long press on unlock rolls the windows down and opens sunroof ( sunroof is optional )

Best $50 I spent since buying this truck

My dealer hasn't noticed, or said dick, and if they said something the reply would be a 2 word answer with the first word an F, second a O

 

It will not affect warranty. I changed the following in March.......
------- Seat belt chime, turned them all off
------- Turned off engine noise, might be turning that back on for a little while
--------Inreased the turn signal from 3 to 7
------ Changed ambient temp to -2 to help with cooling during the summer
------ Turned on the all windows down with long press
Also informed dealer that I had 10 codes and they needed to be checked. According to them all were created during the build and testing and should have been cleared prior to shipping, alll were cleared with no issues or questions asked.

 

Posted this in another Carista thread..... The engine & chassis tab is not showing up in the customization features. Seems like everything else is there, but this tab. I want to shut off the fake v8 noise. Any ideas? Thx!

Thank you. The Chassis & Engine tab isn't showing up on the customization screen - everything else is. Weird.
I can change everything except for the fake engine noise - no option for "Chassis & Engine."

Really weird. Everything is there but "Chassis & Engine." Maybe someone can chime in and help me out. I hate the fake engine noise...

 

My guess is you don't have ESE so it's not in the menu.
JBL or double cab?

You DO have a Crew Cab with JBL correct?
IIRC from the Carista thread:
Double cab = No ESE
No JBL = No ESE
