I have a 2001 Tundra V8 4.7L engine and the (speedometer and odometer) stopped working. I did not make any service changes, this happened while driving. I would appreciate any suggestions on where to start. My understanding (right or wrong) is that there is a speed sensor somewhere that needs to be replaced ? Thanks in advance... Dave

The early transmissions use a gear in the end of the trans to send that info to the cluster. There is a connector back there that could've come unplugged. I don't have pics, but can find a thread that does.

This is the thread with the pics of the connector and general location.
