I'm shopping for a 2.5 Gen Tundra. One of these trucks on my radar is in Idaho Falls, ID, and from the CarFax, has lived there all it's life. I live in the SW desert, and vehicles that have always lived here have zero corrosion of any kind, so in that sense, I suppose I am spoiled. In any event, as I shop for a used Tundra, I try to avoid buying a truck with any corrosion.

It is my understanding that salt or salt brine is used on the roads there in the winter. Can anyone who lives in the area or is familiar with it, tell me how much and what type of corrosion to expect on vehicles which have lived and been driven there for 3 or more years?

Generally frames in this area are okay. Get pics just in case.
