Well as the title says, I’m in a mental pickle.

I’ve got a ‘15 CM TRD OR. 207k on the clock. For the last 3 years and around 50-60k the truck has been on a set of Radflo 2.5’s with Toytec/Eiback 650 coil springs which basically leveled the truck. Rear was a coachbuilder 1” shackle, Bilstein 5100 1” lift shocks and an older airlift airbag kit with daystar cradles.

Next week we’re going a big loop through Colorado and Utah. Hopefully hitting Imogene on the way south, spending some time around the border to hit Zion, The Grand Canyon and Powell, then a few days in Moab and then home.

I have been collecting parts over the last 6-8 months, picking up used stuff to lift it higher, and a set of 34” Nitto RG’s. This included a set of JBA UCA’s, used low mileage leaf springs, and some 3” coachbuilders.

3 weeks ago I started down the install journey. Thankfully I started with the front suspension. Pulled the coilovers as I wasn’t able to adjust them on the truck. They’re heavily corroded thanks to colorados switch to salts from mag chloride. My 6’3” 300 lb brother and I were barely able to get 2 full turns out of the adjusters, which netted minimal lift, if any.

I’ve got the truck buttoned up and aligned, but now I’m contemplating options to get the truck lifted like I want after I get back. I contacted Shock Rehab in Castle Rock, CO about rebuilding the Radflos, and seeing if they can clean up the adjusters at all. I sent some pictures, and he’s concerned but willing to give it a try.

I’m stuck on what to do. Do I pay the $500+ for rebuilds for the possibility of having a junk set of Radflo’s with no adjustability?

I’ve also been considering junking the Radflo’s, and putting a simple and common setup on it like Bilstein 6112’s, or maybe splurging for a new set of Toytec coil overs as they’re so close and I am good friends with Hugo.

What does the hive mind think?

If the guy who is going to do the rebuild has concerns, I probably wouldn’t take the chance. I’d get into something else.
