My 2022 SR5 XP has had a leak on driverside grab handle every time it rains. Dealer replaced windshield gasket and trim but it still leaks on rainy days. Taking it back to dealer for leak after owning for 1 month

I just picked up my 2023 Limited yesterday and had the issue today with the rain. I don’t have a pano roof either.

This is the third time I have to take back to dealership. They replaced the windshield gasket and trim the last time but it leaked worse after the last rain we got and the truck was parked decending slightly on driveway. Went to dealer yesterday and they may write it up under lemon law to have manufacture buy it back. Then they will find exact replacement since they have been unable to fix it. I have bought many new cars but never experienced this after a dew weeks of ownership.20221120_160116.jpg

Concur at first they were going to take it back as a trade in and play the sales rope adope and charge me more than I paid for the exact same car and of of course as soon as i said lemon law they changed their tune. Will see how this works out. Kinda disappointed now that i traded in my 2015 taco that was paid off.

Ok update: A factory rep went to the dealer and found the leak was at the back end of the rain channel of driver side which makes sense that when it was on a decline and rained it leaked on driver side grab handle. Now it is on the way to body shop for repair. I asked for pics.

What is the actual issue though? Where’s the water getting in?

Is there something wet above the headliner? or somewhere else that will eventually get moldy?

I just found a leak on my driver's side... carpet and jute was wet. had it 2 months (used) and found it.... when I opened it up it was musty and clearly had been wet a while. started searching and found some sort of drain with the firewall. there are 4 rubber plugs and 1 had come out. as the water drained from what I believe is the hood hinge area. it overflowed into my floor pan. I am still working on clearing the drain passage as I can't see it under the car and fishing a wire has not worked yet

Hi folks, and fellow struggling Toyota techs I think found the problem. its coming from the front corner of the sunroof housing, where front piece joints with the side piece, most of them wasn't sealed properly. you might be able to seal without removing the headliner and sunroof housing by applying sealant on that front corer. (hint open your sunroof its near the torx screw).
