One would think this would be easy to find, but none of the software programs have a recommendation on a 2023 Tundra! So far, I THINK that a 27F or 35 battery will drop in without a fuss, but I'm not certain about even that. The goal is to find a dual purpose lithium drop in. I already have a 2 house battery ( 2 - 230ah LiFePO4's) 12v solar array on board, but if I'm going to tote another starter battery around under the hood, I may as well get some good use from it also. Seems a waste of space to tote something around that only starts the vehicle. If anyone has a definitive size group(s) that fit the 2023 Tundra and know of a good dual purpose battery in that group, I'm all ears! Thanks!

Oh wow! I was WAY off! Thank you! Do you happen to know any other group sizes that is compatible with the truck?

If you flip the bracket that goes over it or bend it I think a group 27 will squeeze in the space it’s a bit taller. In the stock size a 94r agm X2 power AGM is probably the best from Batteriesplus

Can someone take a picture of the battery in the engine compartment, I haven't picked up my truck yet and I'm curious to see how it sits and how much clearance is around it, pic from top down would be super helpful. Haven't' found anything on a google image search.

I don't actually need a battery yet, but still want to switch to a dual purpose lithium iron self heating battery.

Umm, may want to verify if it's part of the massive recall before you drop money on a battery.

I was at the dealership today getting an oil change. They had 3 gas Tundra's sitting on the lot because of loss of power and were deemed unsafe to drive either by the owner or the service dept. So my comment was if the OP's truck is part of the recall, makes no sense to upgrade the battery.

Without a doubt there will be many like this, that's why I said may want to verify, I didn't say it was a part of the recall.

I'm not even aware of a recall! Have they gone public with it yet? If so, what does it entail? I would still want a dual purpose LiFePO4 starter battery either way. Even if the battery was part of a recall, hell would freeze over before Toyota would replace that battery with a $1500.00 battery though. Lol

Obviously, that photo was taken while the Tundra was being carried on a flatbed to the dealer after the engine blew up. :D
