    thanks for the info NickB.
W/out seeing or hearing it, safe to conclude small exhaust leaks [altho Knabores lookd pretty big] at manifold wont cause overheating of head or other components, just a background noise?

I found cheap center caps for that style wheel on Amazon, perfect fit and match, some may be better than others, check the reviews.

Fair enough, I won’t buy parts of any significance there, but for $30cad it paid off. Worth checking more reputable sources, although I think it’s either gonna be OEM for big $ or cheap knockoffs like these that are probably hit or miss.

Couple hours a side. Pretreated with penetrating oil x3 days. Rust free south helps too. The angles and access sucks, but is doable with some swivels / wobbles. Both sides were ticking at one point or another. I replaced one around 154k miles, the other around 168k. The ones I have are oem style, but not oem. Still working great. Big fatty welds on the flanges.

I say as long as it quits after the truck warms up then there shouldn't be much to worry about. If it gets bad enough to do it all the time it may be of concern yeah.

I like that your aftermarkets are decent quality; at those prices I feel like buying a pair now just as backup, given inflation...
