CBI delete for $95? That's a better deal than the current $142 at CBI in post 27 of this thread I made yesterday. Please post your link to the $95 pricing.

WTF happened to there web site!!!!!
With your statement of saying it's $142 got me to thinking/second guessing myself and tried to verify on there site and it was non stop and I do mean F ing non stop pop ups!!!

So I was looking at the Stealth bumper (early spring)and knowing that I would need a delete I swear it was $95.
Man if inflation has hit that part too this inflation shit has to stop somewhere we have to stop this bleeding...

Weird yours never came with the active front aero.

I found this on the 3” Lift install sheet. If you’re not going with an aftermarket bumper this can probably save you some money from buying an extra module you don’t need. Doubt you can keep the motor hinge on an aftermarket bumper unless it was mounted somewhere to move freely. Also those with sway bar bracket drops that want to retain the TRD skid with spacers you may need to remove the active aero. Hope this helps

From my own experience doing my suspension including Fox 2.5 PES and the OEM aluminum UCA’s. The Fox spacers are about 1.5in and my active aero works. But I’m not running a skid plate… waiting for spacers. The aero hits the top bolt area on the TRD front skid when tucked away. If I want to retain my TRD skid with spacers covering the sway bar, I have to remove the aero. Still thinking of a way to retain the aero but will likely require some custom work. We shall see…

    Lots of stuff!
I would think that the air dam would be removed either at the factory of dealership when getting the 3" TRD Lift.

My 2022 TRD OR Limited never had an air dam but there are some differences with the Canadian builds and I heard some of the TRD OR builds in the US had the air dam. Not too sure why, other than giving more choices. Also could play a part in the fuel economy requirements.

I think the CBI front bumper kit comes with an air dam delete module that plugs into the wiring to prevent a code front popping up when you remove the air dam.

I only have an OR skid plate, not the TRD one because it came with cat guards.

It is the lift at the factory that removes the air dam. I have a Limited Hybrid with the TRD Off-road package with no lift and have the air dam.

I just got my 2024 1794 Limited Edition which has the automated air dam and automated front shutters even though it is a hybrid and has the TRD off-road suspension system and a 1.1" lift from the factory. Just went out and verified it has both.

I have a 2022 Limited TRD 4x4 Hybrid. No OR package and mine doesn’t have it. My dad has a 2022 limited 2WD and has it (non hybrid). I thought mine had it until I got stuck literally today and found this thread.

a little disappointed because I thought I had it and feel a little lied to. I bring it to the dealership Monday and will ask them about this. I want it added.

I thought I read on here that a dealer said “It’s a hybrid it already gets good gas mileage.” If they told me that I would lose my shit. You telling me I paid more for you to take features off because my truck would get more gas mileage. What a half ass way of thinking. I doubt Toyota did it for that reason, but if they did that is Chicken shit. That is Ford Logic.

So between 2023 and 2024 they started putting them on Hybrid's with OR packages. I am curious if I am able install one myself. I can't imagine they changed the computer plugs too much. But I can easily find an OEM motor and Air Dam on ebay, but what gets me is the lack of a cable to connect. I don't know how often you crawl under your truck or if you plan on doing mods, but if you ever get a chance to look at the necessary cable's part number, can you remember me and post it so I can look it up and order one?

What exactly is the point of the “active aero front splitter”? It is available on the Limited and up model trims but those models have -1 mpg highway rating compared to the models without? I don’t get it?

It doesn’t make the truck more efficient.

My 2023 1794 non-hybrid, non-TRD OR, and no lift does not have the active air dam.

And I'm thankful for that because I'm pretty sure it would already be broken by now.

This is a great mystery on who has them and who doesn’t. A few other threads have also pondered these things. I have a 2022 SR5 TRDOR and it does not have it.

I thought if you had a TRD package of some kind, then it will NOT have the spoiler. I've also read discrepancies on Canada VRS USA region Tundra's affecting that too. My 23 Platinum non hybrid does have the spoiler, and It was kept with the recent install of my TRD lift kit, and it functions just fine. I don't know if the spoiler affects actual MPG, or if it is a wind buffeting helper underneath the truck for like N/V/H?? It does not deploy below 40MPH and auto retracts at around 25MPH I believe. So my thinking is why does TRD off roads NOT have the spoiler if it retracts at higher speeds anyways?? Like I get why they don't have them, thinking it would get in the way of off roading, but who off roads at 40MPH??

Same truck, with active air dam. If it is ever broken (I’m surprised it has been, yet), I’ll most likely just remove it.

Look at the 2025 Tundra brochure. It lays out options per package/model. I still don’t understand why it’s included on higher trim models but those trucks have a lower mpg highway rating then the lower model trims.

Are they heavier so they need to make up for the weight by being more aerodynamic? I don’t get it.
