Can you go and measure how long it's length is?
I bought a 33 gallon tank from a scrap yard 6 hours away from me and I need to know if it'll fit in my RAV4 or if I need to take my truck.

I'd MUCH rather take the hybrid since work is reimbursing me mileage and that's just profit in the RAV4.

I've tried looking but go figure no one posts the dimensions of OEM parts online.

Quick estimate looks like around 88 inches.

It’s about 89”. Plus or minus an inch or so

I totally misread your post and thought you wanted measurements to see if the 32 gallon tank would fit ON your Rav4, not IN
your Rav4. Almost had a panic attack.
Anyway, good luck with your install.

    Me too.
the Rav4 is a station wagon, If it don't fit, strap it to the roof rack and send it!!

One thing to keep in mind is you're going to get a cheap buzz with all the fumes venting out of the gas tank. Also the gas smell will probably stay in the car for a while and for that reason alone I would take the truck.

The cheap buzz can't be any worse than using a cell phone while your driving though so there is that. Also if you stop for lunch/dinner leave the windows down so you don't go boom when you open the door and discharge a little static electricity.

I thought about this but the only opening on the tank is the fill neck. The one I got is a complete with everything in it unit and I was gonna plug that hole so it shouldn't be too fumy.

I haven't actually measured the rav4 yet but at 7.5ft I might have to take the truck anyway.

Another reason I'm trying to avoid taking the truck is I'm at 35500 miles and this will take me over 36k. Which wouldn't be a problem but I have pending warranty work ATM. (Dealers replacing all my door seals. They've already ordered the parts.) And I didn't want to give them any reason to fuck up free new door seals.
