I miss small trucks. I just wish more had V8 options back then. I was surprised to see the Dakota tow rating was only like 1800lbs though

I’d never be able to sell a service station. Toxic dump IMO with having to prove it’s doesn't have contaminated soil when I sell in the future or end up paying for an expensive cleanup.

Man, speaking of legends playing live ... For some reason, this reminded me. The missus and I went to see Kris Kristofferson live at the Ryman probably 10 years ago now. I'd always wanted to see him live damn near all my life, and I'd never gotten the opportunity to. I was on a kick trying to tick off my bucket list back then for any artist who may not make it much longer, after a series of impactful-to-me artists died back to back to back. I've gotten a few killer ones, like seeing Stevie Wonder on the Songs in the Key of Life tour he did a few years ago.

Anyway, all that to say, I walked away a little depressed. It was awesome seeing Kris play live, but he was really having a rough time finishing songs. "Can't quite remember the verse", "Man, I used to know how to play that song out...", it was tough to see. That guy was like a hero to me as a kid. I think back then everyone was thinking he had dementia or Alzheimer's, but realized more recently it was actually Lyme disease?! Or similar. MIL's friend had similar issue, was diagnosed with dementia, but turned out it was the combo of medications her doc put her on!

I feel like the only weirdo here that's never owned a Dodge. Unless you include the late 80's Misubishi Mirage 4dr sedan, which I think was a rebranded Dodge Colt?

You're not missing a thing. My first car that was bought for me was a shitbox used 1984 Dodge charger. POS. Drove a Neon for 1 month and traded it in. I have no love for the Dodges. MOPAR is below par.

Not a train, but in high school I caught a ride on a fire truck once. Was going down the rode (sirens not on), I ran to it as it was moving slow, climbed up the ladder, and rode on top for a few miles.

Hearing rumblings of actually hitting our bonus potential this year. Pays out in early July. Prepare for the epic FGT renew / build thread!!!

Mostly kidding, just refreshing the suspension / drive train / exhaust.

Ours pays out the last week before we brake for Christmas. It's performance based, and time in job based as well. Usually high performing first years see 1000 to 1500. So this turbo engine build will happen before Jamboree God willing.

And it goes up every year after that. My sup last year, 4 years in, got 4800 last year. So it's substantial bonus. Plus the glass handler turn over rate is stupid, so the bonus is really only split between HR, production/ floor Management and Maintenance. So not that many people.

You guys were talking about fast cars yesterday. Enterprise gave me a BMW X5 yesterday for work. Wow! Such fun. That's definitely the fastest vehicle I've driven lately. Made it to Nashville in record time.

Lucky. As a presidents circle member with Hertz, I got my pick of any of the 22 Chevy Malibus in the “presidents circle”. What a POS. Driving dynamics are horrible. Feels like a kit car. Made with a Fiero

Yeah they keep upgrading me. Two weeks ago I had a Audi SUV. Before that I had a run of shitty Nissan Altimas. I'm sure you guys have seen the Altima memes and videos. Not a good group to be associated with lol.

Fml, all old folks, i'm sorry i didnt know how hard thing are, i know i earned this pain, but a bad shoulder has made working under the truck 10x harder. I even moved my toolbox next to me, so i dont have to hop up & get tools, but eff. It seems like where i need to reach at any given moment is just outside my range of motion, and i reach a little too far & wonder if i've just managed to do more damage. When i DO have to get up to get something i take a minute or two of deep thought to determine if i'm ready to lay back down. Everything takes forever. Sob, never thought not having kids would bite me in the ass like this. Has AI figured out how to teach dogs to read & grow thumbs yet?

Welcome to the broke guy club lol. But seriously you're gonna need to take it slow and easy for a few months bud. You took a real good spill there, and as someone who has been fucked up more than most people will be in their entire lives, you need to get into a hard core progressive PT plan. Either with a doctor/ specialist or do it on your own. Shits gonna take a few months before you're even close to gtg.

Yea, i've got the numbwr to a lisenced PT, and she gave me a list of do's/donts & the names of which exercises to do. I'm not stepping over any boundries, but todays range of motion exercise has been a steep learning curve.
